So, i'm not a big fan of how the 40k rules have gone over the years, and while i make sure to complain about them as much as possible i've also been (slowly) writing my version. My design philosophy was to burn the rules and start from the ground up. I've just about got them to a point where i can start some alpha playtesting, only there's no real schedule for that so it could take a while. But the rules are relatively readable on the whole, so i thought i'd post them online in case they are of any interest or use to anyone.

I have just had a quick look through the core rules.The presentation and use of symbols for stats looks great!
Ill have a proper read through, and see if we can get some play testing done to give you some feed back.

Oh heya, wasn't expecting to find you here. I try to make them look presentable as otherwise they make my eyes bleed if i spend too much time working on them. I can create printer-friendly versions if you're interested. Not sure how well they'll do, still need to alpha test them but at this point its cohesive enough to at least do that. Just a quick suggestion.
Could you not show body type with the health symbol.To reduce the number of separate stats
Eg Red 'blood' drop for organic, Black 'oil' drop for mechanical, and Blue 'ectoplasm' drop for etherial?

Hmmm, just had a look and certainly could. I'm limited by the icons from the pack, but i could use heart for organic, wrench for synthetic and either the icon i'm using now for ethereal or have another look and see if i can find a better one for ectoplasm.

I could probably delete the type icon altogether (since the profile chart lists if its infantry, monster, etc already) and move the behaviour icon down next to that.
