As the title sums up quite nicely, what is your opinion on the gunslinger rule compared to a rapid fire weapon, an example being:

A meq veteran with two plasma pistols compared to meq veteran with a plasma gun.

Does two pistols have any compensation for the lack of range besides 2 CCW?

@vipoid,

Apologies, at first I had intended to leave the question open to interpretation in many different circumstances, but specifically I'm weighing up the usefulness of blood angel command squads. In particular ways to load them out (combat or ranged) and in comparison to the new sanguinary guard. I need some models with anti-teq/light armour and plasma has always been the fallback in this case. As I predominantly run dual hand flamers/ heavy/regular & regular flamers in tactical and assault squads respectively, I get plenty of close range hits in but rarely enough to dent anything tenacious.

I most certainly can, for the same price too (15 points apeice).
