I'm not sure if "inhabitate" is the right word there, but I dunno what else to call it unfortunately.

But yeah, would there be Chaos warbands who would end up taking a continent or two of a planet and end up using it as their "home"?

The reason I'm asking this is because I've thought of some background fluff for both of my Orks and Chaos marines, but I'm not sure if having a planet inhabitated by orks, when a sudden warband of plague marines appears and steals a third of the planet would be feasible.

Good on you for trying, I know my Danish is painful to listen to. A chaos warband could definitely take a decent landmass and occupy it. If this world still had humans they'd probably start to join the chaos faction, giving your warband a little empire to rule over.

avoiding the lorax on Crion

And slaves to produce resources and construct a base of operations. Not going to stand around in open forever.

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.

Heh, thanks. Though Danish is a wee bit harder to learn than English, although that could just be me.

But thanks for the answers! Perhaps I could think of an idea to how they came to that planet. Like a warp portal had opened for the Lord and his followers to stride through. I dunno.

Who are these chaos marines? Are they beating up the locals and being brought personal trinkets by a small European country, are they building a terrestrial empire the size of China, are they using the planet as a base and have some grand plans to avenge themselves on Abaddon or Calgar?

I don't know what you're asking. I'm sure anything is plausible.

Well, it depends on the type of Warband you're speaking of, but other Warbands have already done so. The Red Corsairs own large swaths of territory in the Maelstrom since their retreat there and rule a mini empire.

Yeah, sorry about that. I was actually thinking of them having been part of the Death Guard, but they've been employed by a Great Unclean One, who's had a grudge against a force of Marines/Guardsmen in a sector that I still need to make up a place for. And with an Ork world where there's somehow still a continent with deserted guardsmen, he would manage to open a rift for him and "his" warband to allure to his command (or enslave, but that's a rather harsh term).

And of course, there's still plenty of more to make up, but that's more or less what I had in mind.

You know, I have actually yet to read about that. Neat!

These three especially tend to seize worlds and colonize them, especially the Iron Warriors.
