So I was looking at the new Blood Angel Codex and saw what Corbulo does now. +1 WS +1I and FNP.
When synergizing with detachmant that means on the charge a regular unit wwould hit at WS5 S5 I6. If those were good weapons that's dirty. Which gave me the idea of this.

Corbulo in a squad of assault terminators. Sarge lightning claws, 3x lightning claws, 3x hammer shields to eat shooting in next enemy turn. In addition you have a chaplain or librarian with the AP2 relic sword. I prefer librarian because quickening on ap2 Libby or lightning claw termy situationally with more attacks at higher initiative would be hilarious if something really needs to die. Unleash rage if you get it would make this that much grosser. All of this arrives in a land raider crusader.

this is like 700 points. Would it viable in a game? I think it would be a ton of fun to run.

You are thinking a tad too small term here my friend.

You need to allie in chapter master smash f***er (standard codex iron hands) here as well to really tank some wounds/fire (no bike to fit in the raider). Can then decide whether to give him the burning blade so he can strike fast like the rest of the squad or thunder hammer to mop up.

Whilst you are allying in him, may as well ally in some dev centurions as well, drop them down in a blood angel FA drop pod. Cheap allied in inquisitor to go with the cents to act as a mini librarian without taking up the HQ slots.

Your thinking about what he said backwards. The chapter master is buffing the terminators and corbulo not the other way around.

Smash F'er isn't there to get the boosts off of corb, he is there to keep corb and co alive by tanking wounds/being super difficult to kill. To be honest, you could ally in dante and do the same thing, which would possibly be more effective if you weight up losing the 3++, yet then you lose out on the allied in centurions.

And if you have the points/audacity, the allied in librarian may as well be mephiston.

Ally in two ministorum priests an the squad will get to reroll failed armor/invuln saves in close combat and reroll to-hit in close combat.

Also an inquisitor with the liber heresius will give the LRC scout the first turn.
