So my local hobby store had a delay in shipping for the codex, dice, and tact squad I ordered..... So I was just curious, are sang guard better ? Or are they basically the same now?

Chapter banner is 10 points cheaper and death masks are 1 point apeice, the Glaive ecarmine (sword) is a two handed, master crafted power sword and the axe ecarmine is the power axe equivalent, they're much cheaper. (around 28 each if I recall correctly) however there are no stat changes and Dante no longer unlocks them as troops.

Well that's good.... I love the models and just want to be able to field them and not be penalized for it. I'm excited that BA finally are getting some love

Mind you, there are 12 squads vying for the elites choice now, if you're dedicated to your sanguinary guard then you're in the clear by if you like death company, any form of dreadnought or a single member of the 1st company you'll be hard pressed to fit them.

Also, now you can put 10 SG in the squad.
In my opinion that's good because with a JP Priest they can be pretty difficult to be tabled out (and also got +1 ws from priest and +1i while charging if using the new detachment)

33pts each. Much much better! The option of going over 5, +1I with the new detachment, auto FC, and +1ws and fnp from a priest (for the same 75pt cost with jp) makes them so more efficient it's unbelievable. Especially if running 23pt jp dc alongside... who does the opponent shoot?
Look at it this way:
Last dex. 5 sang guard with chapter banner, priest with jp cost 310pts. They had +1a from banner, fc and fnp from priest.
This dex. 6 sang guard with chapter banner, priest with jp cost 298pts. They have +1a from banner, fc, +1I from special detachment, fnp and +1 ws from priest, plus priest has 1 extra wound. Also have the option to add 4 more bodies.
