I have a 3 way battle soon against a Space Marine player and an Orks player, now I had a lot of experience playing Marines when I was younger, but, now I'm older and coming back to the hobby I only have my Eldar models left and I have a rough idea of how to use them effectively but could do with a few tips to take into consideration when I take to the field

my army consists off
1 Autarch (SH wings, Banshee Mask, Reaper Launcher, Power Weapon)
1 Farseer (Singing Spear, both Runes)
2 Guardian Squads (10 men, Weapon Plaform)
1 Dire Avengers Squad (5 man, Exarch with pistol and dire sword)
1 Wave Serpent (Bright Lance)
1 Warp Spiders (5 man, Exarch with twin linked death spinner and power blades)
1 War Walker (Scatter Lasers)
1 Wraithlord (Bright Lance, Scatter Laser, flamers)

so basically in a nut shell what I am asking is this, if you had this army and knowing the 2 races you are facing, what would be your general game plan? I know its a broad question since I dont know my opponents units yet but thanks for any advice anyway

Same as always with eldar. Fly around, avoid combat, drown the enemy in bullets, abuse run-shoot-run.

And in a 3-way battle you have the classic Eldar strategy:let the two other forces blow each other apart, then sweep in, mop up the survivors, and claim the objectives.

Outflank the Warwalker. Reserve the Wave Serpent and Warp Spiders. hide the two guardian Squads in cover (special Platform to the rear) and plant them as far apart as makes sense on the board with the Autarch and Farseer. You play posum, taking your two shots plus the Autarch and then you flood the enemy when it makes sense, using your Autarchs abiliy to affect reserves.

Also: follow my blog. =) It might help. here's a link to an article newer players find useful:

On the other hand it might also result in your opponents getting mad and focusing on you instead

Ah, the delicate dance of the 3-player dynamic. You need to be engaged enough to not look like you are sitting on the side eating popcorn, but not so committed that you take real damage. It helps to know the players as well. Or you need to firmly ally with one player to crush the third, and turn on him at just the right moment. It needs to be before he turns on you, but after the primary target is functionally dead.

I played a lot of 3-player wargames growing up. The politics of them falls into a few patterns. In general, see if one person can field an army twice the size of the others, ie. one 2k list versus two 1k ones. This is not only better for new/returning players, as they have a partner to guide them, but remove the diplomacy and 3-player meta from the equation.

This. In 3 way battles, it often helps for opponents to cooperate against the strongest player first. Try to take cover and make it hard for the others to get near you.

In a Trayzn pokeball

I would desperately try to trick the ork into fighting with you vs spess marines, then on turn 3 shoot your entire army against the orks.
Then on turn 4 mop up.
Or if that doesn't work, and you cant convince the ork to help you, try the spess marine.
And if you cant convince him...

Put you pants on your head and run around screaming.

You love the T-Rex. Its both a hero and a Villain in the first two movies. It is the "king" of dinosaurs. Its the best. You love your T-rex.
Then comes along the frakking Spinosaurus who kills the T-rex, and the movie says "LOVE THIS NOW! HE IS BETTER" But...in your heart, you love the T-rex, who shouldn't have lost to no stupid Spinosaurus. So you hate the movie. And refuse to love the Spinosaurus because it is a hamfisted attempt at taking what you loved, making it TREX +++ and trying to sell you it.
