Hi All,

I've got some spare bretonian knights on hand (bits given to me by a friend who has stopped playing). I don't play WHFB, but realised this morning that it might be possible to convert a mount into a thunderwolf for my budding SW army (haven't compared model sizes yet as I realised this while I was at work). Does anyone have any advice/thoughts/stories about this?

I'm reasonably sure I'll have to bulk up the steed with GS, which will let me cover up quite a bit in the way of cutting and gluing

Thanks

Honestly it sounds like waaaaaaaaaaay more work than the reward is worth. I'd just buy something closer to the actual thunderwolf mounts or the thunderwolves themselves. Making Brettonian Horse into thunderwolves will be very difficult, unless you have dozens of hours and a very high ability with sculpting from scratch. Though with that ability you wouldn't ask here me thinks.

Just sell em and use the $ to buy soemthing closer to what you need.

I'd agree on the idea that bulking up a standard wfb horse to the size of a thunderwolf is simply more effort than it'll likely be worth, not only due to the fact that a horse is not a wolf, but the sheer difference in size would be a mountainous task in itself.

I have the time-so far my armies (SW being an allied detachment to my main IH force) are far from ready, and I'm having a ridiculous amount of fun converting models which is slowing things considerably

I had a look last night-it's a tricky job. I have been trying to sell the bretonnians, but no joy, it being tricky to find wargamers in Australia at all. So this may have killed off including a thunderwolf for the time being
