Thanks chaps, really glad people are noticing the little nods to other things like gorkamorka and banksy.
It was indeed a glass bottle, I found two layers of vallejo airbrushed primer did the job, anything stuck to it is just done with standard cyanoacrylate. Fortunately with it being scenery it doesn't really get messed about with apart from popping it down at the start of a game.
