With all the different books out and GW's stubbornness to elaborate on what is inside them clearly, what are your guys favourite books for rules, fluff and/or fun?
For rules, I would guess stronghold assault to be able to use cover and buildings on my table
For fluff, I haven't gotten into many of the books, but the apoc stuff sounds really cool.
For fun, My friend got the Baal supplement, and it gave an interesting spin on the armies.

I don't know much about what are actually IN each book, and what are essentials so if anyone could tell me the core ones I should own, that would be great. (For example, Apoc has formations for ___ and gamemodes, worth a buy)

Rules - FW HH book 1-4 are great. They make each chapter distinct and have both internal and external balance.

Fluff - I'm enjoying valedor right now. Really anything about the eldar is a good read. It's similar to how I think advanced alien species would view the humans on this planet today. Murderous, wasteful, destroying beautiful things in nature for the sake of destruction and totally ignorant of the long term ramifications of their actions.

Fun - The campaigns are cool. I like the cities of death and planet strike stuff in iyanden but it's kind of restrictive on what armies you and your friends own.

Ah, yeah. do you know of any Chaos/daemons vs SW, IG, Necrons or nid campaign books?
For the HH books, what types of rules are in there?

Each HH book has rules and background for 4 HH legions. They also have rules for ad mech which are awesome and make me want to spend $2k on forge world stuff every time I look at them. The new tyranid books have campaign stuff but I'm not sure which armies they're against.

Krieg! What a hole...

Fluff: Siege of Vraks serie is pretty darn good.

Rules: Hur dur, no idea, considering I've only played Scions and Krieg.

Fun: Scions, but that's probably because I wanted some change from my Krieg list for a while while still playing some human elite force.
