Is there anything floating around outside of the FW Badab books on these guys?
It seems like 'feudal barbarian head taker cult' would work as a general thumbnail for working on some minis. I'm just wondering if I've missed any nuances.

Not sure much has be written about them outside of the setting of the Badab War.

I think they came up in one of the Salamander Novels, but that was also in a Badab War setting and from the Salamanders' perspective, so not sure you'd get much new there.

On the bright side, I'm not sure there is much more nuance to the Executioners outside of "barbarian head takers that strangely adhere to the Codex."

The 40K universe can usually be pretty simple.

Yeah, it seems like they're one of those chapters who got a lot of attention in one big event, but won't be getting a lot of support otherwise.
On the plus side, that gives you a lot f liberty on making your own fluff

Uh, I know they have a character that's fething badass in combat on the charge...
Outside of that, I think there isn't much fluff on them, even compared to the Carcharodons (a chapter that there's supposed to be a lack of info on).

Indeed - what sort of bastard would want to use their codex?

In the audio book Templar Sigismund's best Templar is a dude named Fafnir Rann whose storm shield has a symbol of two aces back to back. It's unsaid but my guess is he winds up their first Chapter Master. He is pretty bad ass.

The black rage is within us all. Lies offer no shield against the inevitable. You speak of donning the black of duty for the red of brotherhood; but it is the black of rage you shall wear when the darkness comes for you.
