So I was having a GorkaMorka debate with some one and this came up in the discussion.

A bigmek, painboy or weirdboy getting kicked out of a tribe or clan dosent seem to be uncommon an occurrence. However I am seeing some problems with this.

Firstly, what would you have to do to be kicked out of an Ok tribe ? Orks don't seem to have that many taboos in their society.

Second, wouldn't this diminish the clan's ability to make war as all the high end technology (walkers, vehicals, teleporters) and individuals who can patch you up after battle would be absent to do their function ?

Also, seeing as they are being kicked out anyway, what stops these individuals from causing havoc on the way out ? Oddboyz tend to be more dangerous than other orks as they are capable of destructive feats such as a Mek having their dreads and kans knock the place over, teleporting chunks out of the warboss, blowing up the ork motor-pool, a pain boss making other orks heads explode (like Grotsnik) or a weirdboy from causing an 'ead banger" or turning the warboss, his nobs and anyone nearby into a squig (some weirdboyz can do this).

Furthermore, how would you tell a bigmek and his Stompas and Morkanauts to "get out" given he technically outguns the tribe, clan or waaagh! at that point ? You cant exactly tell a 20 meter tall rusty effigy of violence to "get out" and have them comply.

So is this a matter of the offenders being kicked out or are they usually chased out mob style before they can do any damage ?

From what I know

Painboy: You gotta do something stupid like... the squig brain transplant or some really bad surgery (such a definition depends per ork) enough so that it would irk either the ork community at large or just the warboss in charge.

weirdboy: weirdboys as a rule are outcasts due to how they "work". They cannot be too close to other orks else they would charge up their powers (by accident) and possibly unleash them on everyone around them which would not be preety.... they live far away from ork settlements as it is and rarly interact with other boys... One case the "head sploder" or whatever it is called is made due to severe psychic backlash from a "overcharged" wierdboy causes all orks heads to explode... violently. Having a large number of boys heads exploding would not make the wierdboy look all that good in the eyes of his peers nor the warboss.

Mekboys or Bigmeks are more rare but again it comes down to angering one individual or another. If the bigmek makes a gun that doesn't work (even for orks, things just don't work) or live up to its hype a warboss can have him thrown out... there is always another mek around to replace him (99% of the time anyways). if the mek makes some bad cybernetics/weapons/vehicles he could anger the community at large

Ironically friendly fire or killing your own boys is looked down upon. When orks fight orks who could possibly tell who that stain on the dirt belonged too but if they are fighting another faction... killing your own boys is bad... Unless your in charge and have the biggest dakka or melee weapon to convince those around you that "they were getting in the way".

As for the difficulties of kicking out a Big Mek with a Stompa or whatever, it's surprisingly easy: Orkish diplomacy is performed face to face and with great gesticulation. Any Boss kicking a Mek out of his clan is going to be literal about it. The mek's not going to get anywhere near his stompy robots, those belong to the clan now. He's on his own.

I'd guess they're getting kicked out because of the havoc they already caused. The 'boss and his boyz escorting them out aren't going to let them pull any tricks. Or more likely the oddboy left quietly on his own well before the latest outrage was discovered or tracked to him.
