Hey Dakka.
Firstly, I do hope this is in the right section.

My mum wants to start playing 40K, but she wants an army that's "fleshy", but she also likes the look of the Fantasy skeletons.
She doesn't know anything about the armies, she doesn't care much for how they play, either. But she definitely doesn't want to do Orks or Power Armour because that's what my brother and I do (respectively).
So I figured Necrons might actually look good as Skeletons, and I was wondering if anyone has seen pictures of Necrons painted up like skeletons, or has done so themselves.
Some links to pictures, or posts of, would be great. I have tried Google, but I can't find anything
Thanks Dakka.

I'm not sure what you searched but if you search 'bone Necrons' in images it comes up with some examples.

I feel stupid.

It didn't occur to me to search for that.
I Googled "Necrons painted like skeletons"
Cheers.

Remove wheels from Chariot, put Tomb King with a warscythe conversion in Chariot. Bam, TK CCB.

Issue being that I can't get hold of Gauss weapons without internet purchases.
We lack the ability to do online purchasing, sadly.
:/

Is that just bleached bone (whatever it's called now) with sepia over it?
And the green where it's green, of course.

I was thinking the same thing.

You're not. If you're worried about your opponent using 'fake' rules, you're having fun the wrong way. This hobby isn't about rules. It's about buying Citadel miniatures.

Please report to your nearest GW store for attitude readjustment. Take your wallet.

Sepia Wash is called Seraphim Sepia now (which has never made sense to me, since no official Seraphim colour scheme actually features any sepia...)

I converted Tomb Kings skeletons to hold las guns and they're my Tzeentch Renegades army.

The back story; they were the Imperial Guard regiment attached to the Truth Seekers (Now The Scourged). When the Truth Seekers were granted the ability to hear all lies (granted by Tzeentch), they soon learned even their own Imperial Guard regiment's high command was constantly lying. They quickly began officer purges and never stopped until the entire regiment was slaughtered. Soon after the chapter went rogue, their Chapter Master (Gallus Herodicus) was overcome with grief. Once he got hold of the spell to cast the Rubric of Ahriman, he started researching how to wield the spell to his own profit. In the end, he managed to twist its power to raise the dead. He then proceeded to raise his whole regiment back into service.
