Subject: [1000] - Chaos Space Marines - Mechanized Slaanesh

HQ:
Chaos Lord: Mark of Slaanesh, Sigil of Corruption, Power Sword, Plasma Pistol.
Troops:
9 Noise Marines: Doom Siren, Power Sword, Icon of Excess, Rhino. CCW instead of Boltguns.
10 Noise Marines: 9 Sonic Blasters, Rhino.
Heavy Support:
Predator: Lascannon Turret, Lascannon Sponsons.
Predator: Heavy Bolter Sponsons.
Vindicator: Siege Shield.
1000 Points.
The Lord and the Noise Marine assault squad move up the field to grab objectives and chase uncultivated philistines off them if need be. The Vindicator accompanies them (the Lord's Rhino protects Vindicator side armour). The Soundblaster squad exists to park on an objective and provide an objective secured fearless 24'' salvo bubble. Predators provide fire support where needed.
EDIT: Might be wiser giving the Lord and Noise Champion lightning claws, and transform that plasma pistol to Melta Bombs and GoM I guess.

I like the lighing claws/melta bomb & GoM idea. But I have always been partial to LCs. But remember, never trust a man who keeps pigs.

"Because the Wolves kill cleanly, and we do not. They also kill quickly, and we have never done that, either. They fight, they win, and they stalk back to their ships with their tails held high. If they were ever ordered to destroy another Legion, they would do it by hurling warrior against warrior, seeking to grind their enemies down with the admirable delusions of the 'noble savage'. If we were ever ordered to assault another Legion, we would virus bomb their recruitment worlds; slaughter their serfs and slaves; poison their gene-seed repositories and spend the next dozen decades watching them die slow, humiliating deaths. Night after night, raid after raid, we'd overwhelm stragglers from their fleets and bleach their skulls to hang from our armour, until none remained. But that isn't the quick execution the Emperor needs, is it? The Wolves go for the throat. We go for the eyes. Then the tongue. Then the hands. Then the feet. Then we skin the crippled remains, and offer it up as an example to any still bearing witness. The Wolves were warriors before they became soldiers. We were murderers first, last, and always!" —Jago Sevatarion

Do you know what "nemesis" means? :-D
Of course, a third variant is dropping the Vindicator altogether, drop one Noise Marine, giving the Lord a pair of claws and adding a Lv3 Slaanesh sorcerer to the Sonic Blaster Squad. Two rolls on the Discipline of Slaanesh would provide a really good chance of getting Symphony of Pain and that would turn that 24'' salvo bubble into something truly terrifying. Even without Symphony of Pain, Sensory Overload isn't too shabby as a Primaris and if I don't get Symphony of Pain I get the ability to murder hordes with Ecstatic Seizures and/or buff the assault squad with Hysterical Frenzy (universal 24'' range on offensive Slaaneshi powers meshes well with the unit). Spending that last psychic roll on Biomancy could make the Sonic Blaster squad relentless, which is where salvo becomes really fun.
So:
Assault Squad:
Chaos Lord: Mark of Slaanesh, Pair of Lightning Claws, Sigil of Corruption.
9 Noise Marines: Icon of Excess, Doom Siren, Lightning Claw, CCW instead of Boltguns, Rhino.
Shooty Squad:
Chaos Sorcerer: Mark of Slaanesh, Mastery Level 3, Sigil of Corruption, Force Sword.
9 Noise Marines: 8 Sonic Blasters, Rhino.
Fire Support:
Predator Destructor
Predator Annihilator
1000 points.
Pros: Sorcery buffs could potentially be game changing. Sorcerer as warlord makes Slay the Warlord less likely.
Cons: Less armour saturation, even if the Vindicator blows up before doing anything it serves a purpose as it should allow for unmolested Rhino movement until it is destroyed, sorcery is fickle in this edition and a lone lv3 might not cut it.

I would really advise against the siege shield on the vindicator (if you end up using that variant).
I would much rather run a Dozer Blade + Combi Bolter on the vindicator. The Dozer Blade is a 1 in 36 to fail dangerous terrain tests instead of auto pass, but also gives you +1 front armor when tank shocking... but its also 5 points cheaper. The combi bolter gives you a 50/50 chance to not lose the demolisher cannon when getting weapons destroyed. (+ extra snapfire shots never hurt anyone)

Hrm. I would be tempted to drop the dakka predator and take 2 blastmasters for each of the NM squads (which means you need one more man in one of them).
The Vindicator could help or hurt you, depending on who you are facing. I see it as a large target more than a force on the battlefield, but this is only a 1000 point army. You are not going to be facing too many things that are shooty.
Maybe you could fit one Obliterator in there for more AV?

Thanks for the replies, guys.
The reasoning behind the Vindicator is to saturate the field with AV targets. The original list includes five STCs on tank treads and I figure that most 1000 point armies would lack the anti-tank capabilities to deal with that. The Vindicator is a fire magnet, but with other vehicles covering its side armour the enemy will have to deal with the AV 13 front. It's a psychological thing, no one wants that S10 pie plate of doom upon them and so they're gonna spend a couple of turns trying to bring the Vindicator down, essentially leaving the predators and rhinos to do what they damn well please (at least that's the plan).
Anyhow, any thoughts on replacing the Vindicator with a Slaanesh sorc? I mean, 8 sonic blasters is 24 S5 ignores cover bolter shots at 24'', could be absolutely evil.
