I realize if i put this in the correct format it would belong on the swap shop, but i am posting this as a general question as opposed to a specific one.

As i don't have much experience with forgeworld, would trading about 2k worth of eldar for a super-heavy, think thunder-hawk or war-hound be in the realm of possibility? Like i said i'm not necessarily looking for a specific person but as a generality would it be something you would do?

It would really depend on models being traded and their estimated value compared to the FW one. The other thing to be careful is that its not a recast.

It's really not that hard to figure out. Go to the FW website and check the price of the superheavy model, then compare it to the price of the models you're offering. Then adjust those values appropriately based on the condition of the models (~80-90% of retail for NIB, 0-10% of retail for built and painted IMO).

While you personally may feel that built and painted models are only worth 10% of retail, that is typically not the case. In the 20+ trades I've done in the dakka swap shop and tons of ebay shopping, built models tend to go for between 40-60% depending on the models and painted models tend to go for between 30-50%.

It all depends on finding a buyer/trader that wants what you have and has what you want.

Thank you all for replying, hopefully i can find someone who will want to trade me! I've given up on multiple armies and now i just want one massive one. Apocolypticon here i come!

One more thing. Start with pictures, don't offer to send them. Makes a big difference to the buyer, let's them know you are serious.
