What is a good weapon choice for tyrantguard who are going to be guarding a Swarmlord?

Keep em simple. They have Rending Claws and the Swarmlord doesn't use the Reaper of Obliterax. Points saved is points spent elsewhere. If you're looking for an Infantry killing Melee squad, sure, go for the Whip, but I have never been disappointed with my pair of Guards with Rending Claws even though I throw my Tyrant into melee at every chance.

Ok, I was just not sure, but my thought was keeping them simple and cheap as well. less points lost if/when I look out sir to them.

I'd give them claws so a vehicle doesn't hold the unit up for long.
