Saw today at my local GW store a single new box I didn't recognize, it was a plastic Thunderfire cannon. Appeared to be a new sculpt techmarine appeared with interesting options including what appeared to maybe be a conversion Beamer. Am I crazy? Never seen this before never saw it announced in a white dwarf, total surprise.
They certainly wouldn't stealth release it, but given GW only advertises new releases a few weeks in advance it is conceivable a store could accidentally put new stock out before the release has been announced.

What he saw was the Finecast Thunderfire Cannon, as GW shops are now getting that and several other items that previously were Direct Only as regular stock.
