does anyone on here play or interested in trying out any of the games that Mantic Games makes? im a Mantic Games Pathfinder for Wichita KS and i promote/play Mantic's Kings of War, Dreadball, and Deadzone. Im currently trying to get an escalation league for Kings of War up and running, as well as getting a league for Dreadball, build organized play for Deadzone, and overall trying to build the Mantic Games player base in Wichita KS.
for those of you who dont know Mantic Games makes affordable, fun, and streamlined games from wargames level to skirmish games level.
Kings of War is an epic fantasy battles wargame that plays with a wide range of races in mass fantasy medieval formations going toe to toe with each other with missile troops shooting bows and early powder guns and wizards, necromancers, angels, and demonic monsters casting magic; all while trying to out maneuver their opponant for the win. the factions range from good, neutral, and evil factions including: Kingdoms of Men (humans), Basileans (holy humans with angels on high purging with fire), Elves, Twilight Kin (evil elves), Orcs, Goblins, Ogres, Dwarves, Abyssal Dwarves (evil dwarves), Undead, Forces of Nature (druid mages/elementals/wood elves), and Forces of the Abyss (demons/monster demons).
Dreadball is a sci-fi sports game with a "tron" overlay thats a combination of lacross, rugby, hockey, and rollerball. it has a range of teams that include human teams, alien teams such as a bug team and a tenticle "Cthulhu" team, humanoid teams such as space dwarves called ForgeFathers, giant teleporting turtle team called Teratons, etc. Dreadball has you and your opponant trying out score one another on a dreadball pitch with three scoring zones all while slams from other players sends your team members into the injury box or killing them.
Deadzone is set in the same sci-fi universe as Dreadball, with multiple factions with more on the way, and shoot it out in a 3D urban environment skirmish game where positioning and tactics really matter.
if you're interested in trying any of these games out, want to get into a different game with organized play/company support just, or have any questions about Mantic Games leave a reply. also, i thought you guys might like to know that their basic rules and army lists are free on Mantic Games website? here below are a few links to help.
