The Helfist Murderpack formation makes you select one Helbrute to become a Vehicle(character), boon of Mutation gives a character the chance to roll on the Chaos Boons table.
From my interpretation it is completly ok to buff the Murderchamp with boon of mutation to give him a chance to get for example +1I or shrouded, but it feels like it would be stretching the rules a bit.
If this can be done, how would the stat ups be handeled for stats that the Helbrute does not have? (T or armor save for example).

Fluffwise it seems pretty cool to have a couple of Sorcerers pump a Helbrute full of warpmagicks until it inevetably turns into a Spawn or a Daemon prince from the strain.

You also dont have permission to purchase a gift of mutation alas.

The spell Boon of Mutation from the Tzeentch lore only requires that the target of the blessing is a character that takes a S4 hit, and then rolls on the Chaos Boon table. I am using the blessing to get the roll, not buying an upgrade or winning a challenge.

The Boon of Mutation psychic power does not require the character have Champion of Chaos rule to be a target of such a blessing.

As for the question at hand, there is nothing allowing you to reroll a boon just because it doesn't do something applicable to the target but yes the Hellbrute character can be targeted

Hmm sounds legit then. Shrouded would be very good... some of them wouldn't work on a vehicle tho.

Let's see, there are 36 different possibilities, of which only 19 have a beneficial result that can affect vehicles (not including Spawnhood or Dark Apotheosis). So a little under 50% of the time, you will get something you cannot use.

Might still be of use in a maelstrom mission/similar perhaps ?

Black Legion, I think, has a warlord trait that allows the warlord to re-roll boons.

I would assume the hit is on side armor, but that's not based off a specific quote in mind.

Nope as it's not a shooting attack. And boon of mutation is not a punch from sorc. It's more of a damage from within. Thus, i think back armor would be more appropriate. Making it glance you on a 6.

Yeah, if it's a change to the character you would expect that change to happen from the inside out so the weakest armour value would make sense it the power was trying to push out.

RAW I have no idea of which side it will hit.
