So, i bought a box of nobs and decided to convert them. I have decided that i'll make one Big Mek and three Meganobs, but for the fifth unit i can't decide whether it should be a fourth Meganob or a Painboy. So i decided to ask which one is more useful on the battlefield; which is stronger?

A box has 3 models to it. Thing is most stuff that burn through MANZ also burns through FnP. If you add a Warboss with mega armour, DLS and is protected by KFF, then FnP is fine force multiplier.

Hmm, I must try that too.

It is a littly risky if the orkstar gets stranded in a bad position. From there they will have a difficult time getting back into the game.

Doesn't the nob box make 5? It's the meganobz box that only makes 3, but he's doing conversions from nobs I think.

I think the painboy is a very useful unit, but probably not worth it if you only have 3 meganobz.

Yes of course, you are right. I misread your post as a box of MANZ. Oops

Meganobz are good, but I always recommend having at least one Painboy model to every good Ork general. Three MANz is a good even number to have.

Doesnt 3 manz only work if you put them in a trukk? (I'm pretty new to orks, I've been trying to fit some MANz into my own list and it seems to be the way other people do it.)

Althought I guess in this case its 3 MANz, a big mek in megaarmour and a painboy, so thats 4 MANZ and a painboy. Would even still fit in a trukk.

I don't know if i want the Big Mek in mega armor, he's a character I've had in my head for a while. I might make a Warboss in mega armor, but after this box i'll have atleast 6 HQ's, so I thought that's enough. I actually have a Battlewagon i plan to put them in. While i'm here, do you guys think i should give them kombi-weapons with rokkits or two Killsaws?

You can't footslog meganobs as they have S&P, making them too slow to do anything meaningful and too exposed to S8 AP2.

So trukks or Bwagons seems to be the only option.

IMO 3 Meganobz in a trukk is sickkkk! Really hardcore squad for 150 with the trukk. Keep it low and simple. no combi nothing, desembark and chargd.

I will say do a painboy. I always field 2 of them, they are so good in a larger squad of boyz!
