Slashing Veteran Sword Bretheren

So I need some advice. I plan on running some Astra Militarum to ally with my Black Templar, mainly to get Ministorum priests in with my Terminators, and possibly even work in the Emperors Champion.
So I am looking at barebones allies and the Ministorum Priests dont actually take up any slots.I typically run a couple tac squads to sit on objectives, a couple dreadnoughts in drop pods, a squad of termies in a LRC, a couple stormtalons and a unit of ML devastators.
What would work well with this? Should I just go with a veteran squad in a chimera with a commisar? or should I go for a valkyrie?
Or maybe a Tank commander and some battle tanks in place of the commisar. I would probably drop my devastators and a stormtalon to makeup for the points here.
What are some popular AM allied detachments?

Cheapest HQ is Company command squad for 60 pts, cheapest troop is Veterans for 60 points. If you want to get away with IG as cheap as possible, take these two and call it a day.
If you plan to invest more, both are pretty good units and can be kitted out with special weapons and some transport to be really useful.
CCS can take 4 special weapons, get an Astropath with psychic shriek (and a roll on telepathy), can get Chimera/Vendetta/Valkyrie for transport, and mess things up badly before they die with their cardbox armor. Don't forget that CCS has really cool orders (Ignore cover, Tank hunter, Monster hunter), which they can issue themselves.
Veterans are more guys, 3 special weapons, good doctrines, same transport options.
If you have around 450 points (Pask himself is only 70 points, but you need to take 2 LRs to take him) to spare, you can have Pask with his shiny gatling cannon that can ruin the day of anything and everything. You need to take a buddy for him, why not take a LR with 5 heavy plasma shots (with Pask he'll re-roll both scatter and get's hot). Note that Pask will only get Preferred enemy, if he's your warlord (likely you don't want it), but can keep all the other buffs (rending on gatling, re-roll armor penetration, BS4).
So a nice balance between investment and effectiveness is taking a CCS and Vet squad, with a decent but minimal (special weapons + transport + astropath, no shiny random wargear). A proper Vet squad will cost you nearly 200 points with Chimera, more with flyers, around that or bit more for the CCS.

well I am looking to keep it cheap, but, If I am going to spend the points on something, I want those points to actually do something. So 120 points for a bare command squad and bare veteran squad would probably just be a big waste if I dont upgrade them at all. Performance is going to be an issue. So it sounds like kitting both the vet squad and CCS out with special weapons and sticking them both in chimeras is probably the better way to run it. Then I can run them up behind my LRC for some cover.

This is the AM allied detachment I built, primarily to run alongside sisters but it would complement marines well too:
CCS w/ 4x melta gun
Veterans w/ 3x plasma gun, plasma pistol, chimera
Vendetta
2x Wyvern
Gives you some mobile AT with the CCS in the Vendetta, a good scoring unit with real firepower in the veterans with their 7 plasma shots inside 12" and one of the best and cheapest artillery batteries.

Okay, so this is going to be a slightly fluff-based army.
but with the advice I was given I think this would be a pretty good attachment. As much as I like the idea of getting the Vendetta, I probably wont go that route.
Black Templar:
Captain w/ Artificer armor, storm shield, power weapon
Command Squad w/ 4 meltaguns in drop pod
5 Assault Terminators w/ 4 TH/SS
LRC w/ MM
10 Marines w/ lascannon
10 Marines w/ lascannon and dedicated drop pod
Dreadnought w/ MM and HF in drop pod
Stormtalon w/ skyhammer missiles
AM Detachment
CCS w/ 4 meltaguns in Chimera w/ ram and heavy stubber
Ministorum Priest
Ministorum Priest
Veteran squad w/ 3 plasma guns in Chimera w/ ram and heavy stubber
Wyvern Battery (2 Wyverns)
Inquisition
Inquisitor w/ liber heresius
So the idea with this army is that the inquisitor, the 2 ministorum priests and the Captain all ride in the LRC with the terminators. They use Liber heresius to scout forward. First turn two drop pods land, one with 4 meltaguns, the other with a Dreadnought. The two 10-man squads of marines sit on objectives and provide lascannon fire downfield/bolterfire anything that gets close. And they can bubble wrap the wyverns in the event of facing a drop pod opponent.
Once those Termies get in to combat, which will be either turn 1 or turn 2 they will kill whoever they meet with rerolling armor saves and rerolling to-wound.
