Hello Everyone!

With the holidays coming to an end, I figure now is a good time to organize and FINALLY catch up on my hobby backlog. So, What's the plan? Well, it's simple. I'm implementing a points system.
For Each Model I paint, I'll get a number of points, And to buy anything I need to spend those points.

My current point balance is: 0

Infantry/Line troops are worth 1 point
Sargs/upgrade characters/ Cavalry: 2 points
ICs/Heroes/lords/ Detailed single models: 5
Small tanks, Mounted characters: 7 points
Large tanks/vehicles/monsters: 10 Points

If I want to purchase anything, I need to expend:

Troops/ small infantry/ etc: 30 points
Single character model: 20 points
Cavalry/terminator sized infantry/Rhino chasis' tanks: 40 points
Big tanks/ fantasy monsters: 50 points

More expensive models will be decided on an individual basis

Over the next few days i'm going to be inventorying my collection, and posting up what I have in what state (Unpainted, in progress, or completed),and throw up some pictures, but it's going to take a little bit of time.
Lets get to work!

This is a genius idea! I may have to implement it myself...

You should get a few bonus point for completing a squad as well for added incentive.

Hey that is a great idea. Always hated painting line troops. So then what are the points going to be used for?

I can't buy any models without expending points! Adding a rubric for that to the main post

Anyway, I figured a good place to start is with my Wood elves! I've floundered back and forth on what I want to do with them, color-wise. I think i've settled on a scheme with mainly reds, and warm purples, with gold and cream accents, and a little green here and there.

Here is what the army looks like in it's current state.

Here are the lords/heroes

First off, I have a foot caster currently soaking in simple green, so she is not pictured.

Second, This mounted charcter. He is more or less completely unpainted.

Third, A counts-as mounted sorceress. She is the only model in the army that is really anywhere close to being finished.

And here is what I plan on working on first- A sorceress on a counts-as forest dragon! Still unassembled, in box.

And onto the troops. I have 16 Glade Guard also in the simplegreen, so they're not pictured.

And here are 16 glade riders

Here are 6 Warhawk Riders in various states. There are 2 spear, 1 hand weapon, and 3 bows

5 Sisters of the thorn

5 Wild Riders

And last but not least 2 Great Eagles

My initial project is going to be the sorc on great owl! Will come back later with progress!

Hey again! Spent about 8-10 hours over the past two days so far, And I gotta say, it's been a good start!

Here are some pics of the work in progress owl at the end of yesterday

And then at the end of today! The glazes have it looking really glossy which I really don't like, But I can fix that with a layer of varnish here soon

Hey again! went a few days without working on painting, mostly due to running a 40k tourny out here at my lgs and work.

But I spent this evening working on some of the bits of the big rock the bird is on, As well as working on the dress for the rider

I'm almost done with this model, and suuuuper psyched. I'm going to not paint the bottom part of the base untill i put it on an actual base with the rest of the army.
