Vallejo, but only because I like the consistency better. Stynylrez is supposed to be airbrush-ready but it's actually super-thick. It needs thinner on anything but a .5mm or larger airbrush. If it wasn't for that, I think I would prefer Stynylrez. In the end they're both good primers but the Vallejo primers don't like Vinyl minis (softer plastics) and the Stynylrez is fine with it.

What troubles have you had with PU on vinyl, Dullspork? I finally took the airbrush priming plunge specifically after reading about ways to prime Bones figures (didn't like the "paint on plastic" results very much). Worked great, for me, from the first test (two minis - one brushed on, one sprayed) onward.

A touch of Vallejo thinner to help ease it through my .20mm nozzle at a lower pressure (insane tip-dry with the pressure required to spray it neat from my setup) and it sprays beautifully. So long as I clean the models beforehand and allow it plenty of time to cure, it bonds well and flexes with the plastic, so no chipping or flaking issues.

The Dreadnote wrote:But the Emperor already has a shrine, in the form of your local Games Workshop. You honour him by sacrificing your money to the plastic effigies of his warriors. In time, your devotion will be rewarded with the gift of having even more effigies to worship.
