So I thought BTS worked like armor rolls against certain attacks. Can someone tell me why on some profiles it will say -6 (like a TAG) does that indicate that they are more vulnerable to BTS so it's harder for them to save?

Sorry for the nub question, just seemed bizarre that most troops with a respirator have - on the BTS value.

the - stat is a hold over from N2, all profiles will be reversed to a positive stats with N3 update. In N2 the lower the number the more resistant they were to BTS attacks in N3 it is now higher the number.

Ah OK that explains it, haha. I spent like an hour trying to figure it out on my own lol.

Thanks

In N2, lets say you had a -9 BTS, that meant that if they were trying to hack you, it reduced their WIP from say a 15 to a 6. So they needed a 6 or less to hack you.

Till the new profiles are released, you can just take the neg number and make it a positive

Now in N3 it makes it not so static, both roll.

I can say that in the 3 games I have used hacking with the Fast Pandas for nomads, it is great fun!

In 1st ed, it was ONLY a mod v hacking attacks.
In 2nd ed, they introduced E/M ammo and viral ammo, where it became like armour v e/m attacks (and was stated in the FAQ to treat the (-) as a (+) instead.
In 3rd, it's treated just like an armour save v hacking, e/m and viral. Since hacking is no longer modified by it on the attack.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...
