Subject: How are the Forgeworld terrain pieces build?
Hi, since it seems impossible to get the OOP Forgeworld terrain pieces i want to build em myself. Anyone knows how the " rolings" of those are done? For example this pilebox.
Also someone knows where i can get structured plasticcard?
Thanks in advance

I'lll grant that English may not be your first language - but that word doesn't make much sense where it is.
Are you perhaps referring to how they are cast?
As for the "structured" plasticard - did you perhaps mean "textured" plasticard?
Textured stuff CAN be bought from Plastruct.com in the US (and any model store that deals in model railway stuff can get this stuff in usually). Checkerplate, treadplate, diamondplate etc.

When im Drunk my english gets worse and im often Drunk :-(.
With Rohling i meant the mold.... Or the blank/ the workpiece...thanks for the tip with the textured( not structured your right) plasticcard.
I was asking for the material from which the Forgeworld team creates the pieces they are casting...

The materials for building it not really important but there are quite a few ways to go I recon. With the startingpoint that you want to make casts of a series of these.
1. Build the basic structure of 10mm foamcore
2. (Optional: You can make a silicone mold, links below, to make different versions with the same basic structure)
3. (Optional: Cast the structure in plaster to make it easy to scribe battle damage into it)
4. When the basic structure is done, make the sandbags from miliput or something similar.
5. Dress the flooring with textured plasticard
6. Add rivets to get that 40k look by using pearls for nail art, they are about .7mm.
7. Add external details with pieces of card or plasticard.
8. Add battle damage as bulletholes and shell damage with a sculptingtool.
When is comes to casting this is a place to start. I don't cast myself (yet) but i feel I have a pretty good understanding of the process.
