Just quick question.

I plan on using an Inquisitorial rhino, with 2 melta/plasma acolytes, and a psyker inside. Rhino's have 2 fire points.

If the psyker uses a witchfire in the psychic phase from inside the vehicle, does this count against the number of models who may use the fire points in the shooting phase?

Can I use a witchfire, and then fire with both of the acolytes?

Thanks.

The fire point rules are a little vague on that. They specify that a single passenger can fire from a fire point, but fail to specify of that is per phase, per turn, per game, or for all eternity.

Although it's most likely supposed to be one of the first two.

I would be inclined to go with ' per phase ', personally.

I was planning on doing it per phase, but I didn't want to cheat.

I checked the BRB but could not see anything specifically relating to this issue.

Thats an interesting issue. I would make sure to clarify it with your opponent before the game though. Because that is not something that can be looked up.

Each phase sounds fair to me. The psyker is allowed to shoot in his shooting phase even after manifesting a power, and I'd imagine he's not casting spells with his weapons drawn (or at the most waving a sacrificial knife around). If he's got time to ready his gun after the psychic phase he's got time to leave the fire point for another guy.

The BRB says witchifre attacks can be used to shoot without interfering with turbo boosting or shooting at other units, so I'd say it's ok.

I'd definitely check it with TOs before competitive events. (Although I'd rule it per phase.)

Agree on the "per phase" ruling. As a psyker can still shoot in the shooting phase after using a psychic power, I'd say it's fine to let the other two guys shoot after he's done with all his powers.
