Heya people, it's been a while since I showed any of my minis on here, so I thought I'd participate a bit more in the community instead of just lurking. For the first few posts this'll be mostly stuff I completed a long time ago. I'll get as much as I can up and move on to more recent stuff. Then maybe if I can get my butt in gear I'll do some painting! DISCLAIMER: You are about to see a lot of grey plastic :/ But hopefully the conversions are nice. To start with here's my home gaming board, an Eldar craftworld/ Maiden World to go with my Harlequins and my generic Eldar. Here we go, as usual C&C are most welcome! This last picture shows some of the incomplete terrain, and also the modular hill that was on the edge and the corner before. Automatically Appended Next Post: So to follow on, here's a few of my Harlequins, which for the most part can count as a lot of things! First up, the Solitaire. He really came together as a conversion and I'm really happy with him. Here's the High Avatar. His foot and the ankle have broken so many times it must be mostly just superglue by now. Massive Harlequin's Kiss is not compensating for anything! One of his goons: The Death Jester. He was painted for a comp at my local GW and came second. I wanted to paint a whole squad but didn't have enough time. MDR (mort de rire) is like LOL in French, but it literally means "dead from laughter", so I thought it was particularly fitting for a macabre space clown. His armour and cloak was painted almost completely with super thin glazes built up to do the shading. First time trying a faded out freehand, which I'm especially happy with on the gun casing. The tiny OSL on his gun was particularly hard over black. And the Shadowseer: Thanks for looking, C&C welcome as always.

Hi Folks, up next on the block is my Harlequin Wraithlord. He's kind of posed somewhere in between the typical "come at me bro" stance, and doing the running man. Such is life with 4 arms! I've given a nod to the classic riveblades from the Citadel Journal codex, and the Lances are supposed to look a bit like harlequin's kisses. The face is sculpted by me
Butt shot:
Here is my Harlequin Wave Serpent. I didn't give it Scatter Lasers cos I think it's cheesy, but I wanted something that the Harlies would use, scuttling around the webway. It's also a nice paradox cos at the back it has a portable webway portal. It's a webway... within the webway...
Needs a bit more work, mostly to make it smoother and I'm wondering if I should add some engines and/or more Eldary bits on somewhere. What does you think?
C&C welcome as always, thanks for looking!

hungryp wrote:Nice conversions. Love the casually deadly look of the High Avatar's goon. Thanks, he's one of my favourites! Here's an Eldar who's not really a Harlequin, he's inspired by one of the images from the 2nd ed Eldar Codex. I can't find the image anywhere online unfortunately. He was the first of my little group of "Path of the Lost". He was a Wraithknight pilot. In a battle against a Slaaneshi coven a Sorceror wrought a great magic. Protected from this foul spell by the Wraithknight's wraithbone hull and his brother's long dead spirit, he was the only survivor of the battle. He returned to his Craftworld via the webway only to find that his home had been similarly ravaged while he was gone. Taking up the arms and armour of a fallen Dark Reaper Exarch he stepped back into the webway, vowing never to return before his vengeance had been exacted. The next walker on The Path of the Lost is The Crone. Nobody knows who she is, where she is from, or how old she is. Some say she pre-dates the fall. It is said she knows all the passages of the webway, and even treads those where none other dares. She is the only Eldar to have ever penetrated the throne room of Asdrubael Vect, spoken to him, and then left alive. Before the 13th Great Crusade of Abbadon, she appeared unannounced in one of the most protected chambers of the Black Library to advise the Council of Farseers, leaving the guardians of the hidden Craftworld baffled as to how she evaded their vigilance. Some say she is hideous beneath her mask, others that her soul went to She Who Thirsts long ago but her mind and body remained. Yet others say she is the Avatar of Morag-Hai, her last real disciple. Nothing is really known for sure. Thanks for looking!

The spider needs to have lines cut into it, to match the armour plates around the cockpit.
Very nice conversions on, well, practically everything it seems.
And, if that death jester came second, what kind of painting masterpiece came first?

That's a brilliant idea for the spider, thanks! The execution of the Harley-Spider-Serpent has always seemed slightly off to me, I think that's going to help a lot.
Glad you like the conversions First place was a squad of Grey Knights. I was told that individually my piece was better painted, but because it was a squad it meant she had put more effort in... or something like that. Without trying to blow my own horn, I was a little bit gutted not to come first as I'd spent about a good few weeks on the paintjob and I'd seen a few mistakes on the Grey Knights. But hey, at the end of the day it was a laugh to compete and I have a model I'm proud of!

Update time! Well not so much an update more of a showcase of stuff I did a year ago. Here are some squads that I use for my Harlequin army. I'm so excited by the rumours of a plastic Harlequin box, I reckon the possibilities will be awesome! This will probably be the penultimate post for the Eldar, and then I'll move onto my Adeptus Arbites and =I= 28
Here's a squad of Harlies. They all have a Hellion mask to be scary
And a few of my favourites in the squad:
Here's a second squad. I didn't include the whole squad because some of the conversions are broken/incomplete. These ones are a bit less unified, but I'm very happy with the squad leader who's been basecoated.
And finally for today a squad of Mimes, counts-as Warp Spiders:
Thanks again to Yourintestines for the idea for the Wave Spider, I've done quite a lot of work on it but I need to give it a blast of primer before it's presentable.
Thanks for looking, as always C&C is welcome!

One month exactly since the last update... Does that count as a necro?
Anyway to prove I have not been sitting idle here is a Spiritseer that I completed last week. (The fact that I started him several months ago is irrelevant!!)
I'm pretty happy with him, especially since the gradients on the cloak are much smoother in real life when not zoomed to 5 times the size.
Still need to do a little bit of work on his spear blade and fix the speck of white on the red part of his cloak, but otherwise he's basically done
And a little WIP on the Harlie goon after his first wash and the rest of his squad. I had originally planned to do the whole squad for a contest but ended up just entering the Death Jester.
Thanks for looking, and C&C welcome as always!

Hi folks, prepare yourselves for a very long post. Hopefully it's worth it! Here's a bit more of my legion of grey plastic. This time a little bit of my Arbites army, and some of my Inq28 models.
First up, the Repressor. Forge World is always out of stock, and I had a spare Rhino chassis after my Predator conversions (also in this post) so I made my own!
There once was a time when I thought Phutarf was crazy for cutting off rivets to reuse elsewhere on his cathedral. But here I am doing exactly the same thing!
Here are my Arbites Predators, one with a new LR Chassis and one with the old one. The sponson guns are magnetised to they don't break
My Judge, counts as Librarian in game.
Arbites veteran sergeant and combat squad, counts as Inquisitor with 4 Crusaders.
Arbites sharp shooters, Scouts in game. I've got 10 of these guys.
Arbites with shotguns. I've got 5 more of these and a squad of 10 with bolters as well. but I didn't think it was worth posting pics of all the squads. Maybe I'll do an army shot if people are interested?
And now for the real juicy stuff, a bit of Inq28. First up a squad of Arbites with a bit more detail and personality. Fluff wise their precinct has a much smaller budget! I wanted to use as many Dark Vengeance cultists as possible with this series of conversions.
Here's the heavy stubber gunner, a Corporal. He's been around for ages and could probably be a Captain by now, but he prefers to rough it with the lads. I love this head from the Brettonian range.
Next up the female Captain sent to the precinct to keep an eye on how the small team operates, hence she is highly decorated.
The original sergeant. He's a bit unorthodox and not terribly pleased to have an "outsider" looking over his shoulder while he's working.
And two extra troopers with shotguns. There are a few more with riot shields in the works as well...
OK, picture marathon! Next up is the Imperial Cult.
First up my counts-as Eversor Assassin, using Lelith, Daemonette lower legs and 4 arms from the Talos kit. I painted her fairly quickly. I used purple shades on the skin, and tried an oil wash and weathering powders for the first time to make her look really dirty, disgusting, and basically dead. To add a bit of contrast I gave her slick shiny leather clothes with a gloss varnish which I don't usually use, so lots of experimenting with this model!
A freaky guy with a flamer who burns heretics. Shamelessly copied from another hobbyist online I might add, but I can't remember where to credit him.
An Inquisitorial servo-skull engineer. I'm very happy with the interplay between the two skulls. Is the bottom one jealous of the attention? Afraid that he's next to be deactivated? Or mocking the other who's fallen out of favour?
Some Imperial preachers and fanatics.
Two servitors. Non-combatant but expendable. They didn't deserve death so they have the honour of representing the Emperor's glory.
And 2 more combat servitors this time. Also expendable. The guy on the right has since had his 2 mutant eyes filled in with GS, leaving just the bionic one.
Phew that was a long post! If you're still reading now thank you! Feel free to comment or critique, since they're still open to modification and improvement.
To sign off, here's a baddie, who can either be a villain for my Eldar or my Imperials.

Just amazing models!
Am a huge fan of the 'Lost' Eldar as I play croneworld eldar myself. Any thoughts on how you would do a Croneworld-inspired wraithknight?
I might take some inspiration from that 4-armed harlequin wraithlord, that is a great conversion.
Look forward to seeing more.

Wow that is a great wraithlord model!
I have seen some amazing conversions and scratchbuilds like that which are really inspiring, but I dont think I could scale it up to the size of a wraithknight -- what I love about your harlie wraithlord is it uses mostly the regular kit, but with some great repositioning and additions to give it character. I think that kind of conversion could work for a croneworld wraithknight.
We shall see! Keep up the amazing work
Cheers
