Looks OK to me with the exception of ability to deal with flyers/FMC.

A fear would be not having a target for one of the drop pods on turn one.

I would drop the bikes since sternguard are already in your face you don't really need the bikes mobility, ode add another tac squad in a rhino or Razorback to move up with the vindicators while the enemy is focused on the sternguard.

Trying to find a way to drop 5 points.

10 combis in each Stern squad is sooo many, seems like over kill.

I'd keep them each at 5 Combi-Meltas, this gives you 100 points.
If you drop all 3 veteran sergeant upgrades on the 3 tactical squads you have exactly 125 points which can get you a Storm Talon with Skyhammer Missiles to cover a bit of your anti-air problems.

Okay, a couple points:

1) Assault Cannon Dread in a pod will get you probably one turn of shooting before it's trashed. If you do it, you're better off running a multi-melta, but I think you're better off spending points elsewhere. If you -need- to take a Dread, take a TL-AC Mortis Dread for anti-air. Plant it in your backfield and drop the empty pod by itself for some cover.

2) Why are you not taking advantage of running your Sternguard with 2x Melta and 2x Plasma? Specialized ammo is good, but it's not so good that you should give up special weapons. And, yeah, I concur with Thedecay that 10 combi-weapons is probably a little overkill. I run my CF Sternguard with 4 combi-weapons and 2 special weapons. I've found 4 combi-plasma and 2 plasma are enough (both statistically, and through game-play) to nearly take out a 5-man terminator squad in a turn of shooting. You don't really need more than that. And if you combat squad, then you've got 1 special and 2 combi-weapons in each combat squad. Still good firepower.

3) If you're running Sternguard and running this as a Crimson Fist army, you really need to be running Pedro to make the most out of it. I'm not sure what the Librarian is really doing for you. Especially if you're running 10-man Sternguard squads you need Pedro - that way you can choose to have them combat squad for either 2, 3, or 4 ObSec units depending on the mission.

4) 5-man Tac Squads in Razorbacks are good, but you're better off running Lascannon/TL Plasma-backs. You may not get the anti-tank fire out of them that you do with TL Lascannon, but you're not getting that much out of it anyway. With Lascannon/TL Plasma, you get a little anti-tank, better anti-heavy infantry, and better durability as they count as two weapons for weapon destroyed results instead of one.

5) I think you're better off running something else instead of bikes. Probably another Rhino or Razorback with a Tac Squad. If you -do- run the Bikes, then give them Meltas to add to your anti-tank which your list feels light on.

6) I've tried Vindis with a similar list and I find them to be too static. Again, playing to the strengths of the IF Chapter Tactics (and some folks may disagree with me on this because of their cost), but I think you're better off running Tank Hunter Devs or Centurions (though, I personally hate the Centurion models, so I stick with ML Devs for flexibility).

Hope this helps.

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

I want to second this. Vet Sergeants on Tactical Squads are a waste since assaulting with them to get that second attack is a waste, especially when the best option for IF Chapter Tactic marines is to stay in rapid fire range and let loose, rerolling your 1s. If you haven't already done so, I would recommend taking a look at the Sentinels of Terra supplement, it has an alternate to Bolter Drill that lets you reroll any misses at rapid fire range.

Agreed also on the Combi-Meltas. 4-6 per squad is all you will ever need. It is a bit refreshing to see a CF list without Pedro, but you are kinda hampering yourself by not having him grant you ObSec Sternguards.

Like the above poster said, get yourself a Stormtalon with Skyhammers. It is a cheap and easy way to deal with practically every flyer.

Thanks for the input. I've reworked the list, I decided to Keep the Vindis as I've had them do reasonably well for their points in my SW army. No AA in this list because their is virtually no flyers in my local meta.

I still have 150 pts left to play with, not sure what to bring, maybe a thunderfire? Also I assume Kantor should be dropping in with one of the Sternguard squads?
