Hey All,
I'm sure this has been asked a billion times before, but does anyone know where i could find (ideally pluck, but i'll deal with custom cut if i have to) foam trays greater than 4" high ? I probably would need a 6", at the very least 5.5". I traditionally like sabol, but they max out at 4", and i had a hard time figuring out the heights on Battle Foam (like the product, the website could use some work).
I'm not picky about manufacturer ; this is for my WHFB combined elven army. Specifically i am a doofus and after assembling my cauldron of blood thought "huh. That's going to fit in exactly nothing without laying it on its side", and did not magnetize the Khaine figure on it. It's also extremely fiddly to boot. Laying it on its side puts all of its weight (which thankfully its not heavy) on 1-2 spikes, and still makes it 5.25 inches tall. Standing upright this sucker is like 9-10" tall.
So here's what i'm looking for in order of idealness / appeal:
1) A smaller than normal tray which woudl be sized for the cauldron so it could stand upright. I know this would likely be custom work.
2) A single wide tray 5.5 - 6" in height, where i could lay the thing down.
3) A double wide tray 5.5-6" in height wherei could lay it down, but then also make use of this single tall tray to store a bunch of other incredibly tall models i own... stonehorn... phoenix.... dragons.... etc. Note to self: learn how to magnetize!
4) Other ? i'm open to ideas. Target here is to protect it in transit. My elven army is large enough that i have had to abandon gaming bags at this point and start using totes (see signature, you'll know why), and i often like to have everything at my disposal when i go gaming. I have a could really long relatively shallow totes, but the model cannot stand in these (they are about 4" and change), and i have another one that is like 18" deep. I could also get more (actually, need to, as i complete the bag to tote transition).
Apologies if this should go somewhere else, couldn't really figure on the best place to put it.
