So, get this: I managed to convince some family members to get into 40k. I've been looking into playing this game for quite some time, and I finally have some cash reserve to get me on my way.

Needless to say, this will mean mainly buying off of e-bay, repairing a bunch of used models (I love to model), and of course, scratch building as much as possible. Still, though: I'll be joining the 40k base, and I'm proud to say I'll be rolling Tau.

It was a long debate between Tau, Imperial Guard, or Necrons, but I settled with Tau. I still haven't completely devoted myself, however, so if anyone has opinions, let me know.
