Took a small break from 40k to paint up the starter Cryx set I picked up. Tried some rusted effects and worked on kicking up my bases. What do you think?

Nice job, wish I could see better pictures kind of blurry.

Crap, thanks for letting me know! I thought it was just the size of my phone screen. Let me change cameras and repost.

Alright, trying this again. Having issues getting a good closeup shot. Using my Samsung Galaxy S4 and an old Nikon Coolpix that I have. Any advice for improving detail (which isn't go buy a $600 camera)?

That way,then left

About the picture quality, a white background can help a bunch (I suspect it forces the camera to focus on the minis rather than the background)
Also, you might already be doing this but just to make sure, are you using the macro fonction for close-ups?
It really helps.

Hey you have a fully painted force. Its all good from there. From what I can see in the pictures your paint work looks solid, your not using too much paint. So overall I'd say good job man.

Thanks for the advice BOB, I think white has really helped. I think the color balance might be a little off, I have to find some white instead of soft white bulbs.

Got my 10 mechanitralls done, a few more solos to reach my 25 pt list.

Also got another pick of my Necrotech where you might be able to see something.

Feedback is highly appreciated, I'm reaching a point of maximizing my painting skill and any critical feedback from people could help me avoid a plateau. I had a devil of a time with the skin on my mechtralls, hopefully it worked out.
