As the title says the book is listed as no longer available.

Anybody have any idea as to why?

Probably just ran out. I think their printers are busy with end times. Also more people have bought TK recently due to undead legions. Probably didn't anticipate demand.

Seeing as you need a copy of TK for Undead Legions I doubt this means anything too significant.

Trade rules: lower rep trades ships 1st. - I ship within 2 business days, if it will be longer I will contact you & explain. - I will NOT lie on customs forms, it's a felony, do not ask me to mark sales as "gifts". Free shipping applies to contiguous US states.

It crumbled due to "Unstable" special rule. You have to cast an augment spell from lore of Nehekhara to res it.

The thing is, when things are out of stock they put "Temporarily out of Stock" when things are out of production they put "No longer available"

Examples..

http://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Battle-Sister-Squad - Temp out of stock

http://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/The-Lord-of-the-Rings-Kingdoms-of-Men-EN - No longer Available

http://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Warhammer-Tomb-Kings-EN - No longer Available

Interesting. I hadn't noticed that.

Seems odd as you need one book to use the other.

I know.

Glad I got mine last week! Would be gutted if I couldn't start my Undead Legions army.

I really hope that means they'll recombine the books for 9th edition. I much preferred the old Undead Army to the VC/Tomb King split.

9th?!

What the hell? Am I forever doomed to be the latecomer? Just got into 40k, learned all the stuff, bought the crappy starter set, then bam! 7th!

Is this going to happen to me again with FB? Cuz damn I'll be mad... Not interested in another $100 rule book. Hopefully they don't go the 40k route and just rebox IoB. I want a starter kit for every every new edition!

Lots of people believe this is going to be the case. It is still rumor at this point, but it seems like every month the anecdotal or circumstantial evidence to support making compendium books roughly along racial lines in the game is going to be part of 9th.

It would make keeping up with updates etc a lot easier and quicker if they combine the chaos races, undead, Elven and men into their own respective multi books. As long as it doesn't cost any variety or individuality in each separate races.

Maybe they're going to pull a 6th edition and drop all the army books and start fresh That would be interesting, though I doubt it, and 40k needs a full restart more than WHFB does.

Daemon players can only dream of this being the case...

Sadly, I don't think we're going to get the game properly de-Warded for a few years yet.

Exactly! I think they are doing this with two things in mind: 1) you can play unified if you want, but you can also play Mono flavor of Elf / Chaos / Dead Thing, and 2) probably more importantly its cutting costs without sacrificing game size (squatting something) or quality.

In a Trayzn pokeball

It is very likely that there will be a few combined army books for 9th, but do not mistake this as the end of Tomb Kings entirely!
The guy who runs my local GW speculates 9th will be in summer though, so I'm not sure why it is.

You love the T-Rex. Its both a hero and a Villain in the first two movies. It is the "king" of dinosaurs. Its the best. You love your T-rex.
Then comes along the frakking Spinosaurus who kills the T-rex, and the movie says "LOVE THIS NOW! HE IS BETTER" But...in your heart, you love the T-rex, who shouldn't have lost to no stupid Spinosaurus. So you hate the movie. And refuse to love the Spinosaurus because it is a hamfisted attempt at taking what you loved, making it TREX +++ and trying to sell you it.

I'm neutral on the idea of combined army books in general. I can take it or leave it, but I miss the old Undead Army. I was never a fan of vampire counts can't raise skeletons with bows and catapults, etc.

I agree that a combined list doesn't mean the end of the Tomb Kings, though.

I would be sad if TK got rolled in with VC, as I like the army's unique fluff. However I'm loving the combined army under UL, even without the new units / characters, and would relish the chance to run it unmolested in tournaments.
