I just started looking at the end times and I'm lost . What are the end times? As a he player are they really united (I really like the idea, but not Maliketh)? What happened to the other races? What happened to Tyrion and Telicus? Did the map of the world change? And lastly, where can I read more about this? Thanks in advance!

The End Times are a collection of rules changes. Some are optional additions, like End Times magic and spells. Others, like Legions of Chaos and the Elven Alliance are permanent changes to the base game. You can still use just one of the Elf books, but are allowed to use any or all of them together if you wish. Same with Legions of Chaos, you can take a force made up from all the Chaos books if you desire.

The elves, as I understand it, are not fully reunited. Some of the leaders have banded together and are fighting the chaos invasion together, others are not ok with the alliance. I believe that Teclis and Malakith are working together. The Everqueen and Tyrion are, IIRC, not cool with working with the Dark Elves. Both sides have teamed up with the Wood Elves.


As for things which have happened, I think that Karl Franz and many other Empire characters have been killed.

Kislev has been utterly destroyed. The armies of Archaon rampage across the Empire, checked only by the Vampire legions led by Vlad von Carstein.

Most importantly, Nagash has returned. He is planning... something.

A lot of characters are dying from what i remember.



Supposedly the skaven's turn is up for kicking some good guy buttocks. The dwarfs, empire and lizardmen are on the main menu.



So in short most of the good guy empires are getting thrashed hard or at least the normal order, destruction and neutral sides. For the most part it's the bad guy factions destroying the good guys though being somewhat beaten back due to plot armor.

Ulthuan has sunk?! This is really cool, but a lot to take in. I like that the elves are one (again) this may be used for cool conversions . Thanks for clearing that up. But is there a faction map I can look at?

It's important to remember that while this is all canon its sort of set in the future (ie it takes place post 2522) so nothing is actually changing, unless you want it to. It's an expansion. The games we play aren't necessarily set in 2522 so including 2523+ isn't necessarily forcing changes.

So High Elves from Ulthuan that hate Dark Elves is still entirely fine. As are High Elves following Malekith or Dark Elves following Tyrion or Wood Elves following Alarielle.

Since we're only half way (possibly less if the rumors of additional content after 9th edition drops pan out) we may be getting ahead of ourselves in drawing any conclusions about what's going to happen until its in print. I mean if the End Times ends with everyone dying and the world being destroyed then who died first and what got destroyed when is sort of irrelevant to the setting.

Dollars to Donuts Teclis is not actually dead, and we haven't seen the last of him in the End TImes. You don't see him die (a la Eltharion), you see him get submerged slowly in water holding his very dead brother. He also has the wind of light magic in his staff.

Every time someone uses the expression "dollars to donuts", I oee a little.

As an elf player, Teclis being dead is something even i'm okay with. ;D

Only character i hated more was GrimDark McTroperson his twin brother, who i wish [MOD EDIT - Please find a more appropriate way of expressing that sentiment - thanks! Alpharius] before assuming room temperature in ET: Khaine.
