Hi guys, me again...

I painted a Stormtalon these days and wanted to seal it with matte varnish via airbrush to preserve it.
Well, the model turned frosty... (Its not that much of a issue because it's based on an icefield... but still).
The colors aren't so bright as they should be...anyway to solve this?

I've been reading a lot about giving it another coat of gloss varnish.. could this really do the trick and then coat it again in matte?

Thanks for help in advance!

I have had problem with the Vallejo matt varnish before, seemed I had a bad batch cause I couldn't get till clear whatever I did. I have heard that it can frost if laid down to dry (not thinned enough) but that wasn't my problem.

I tried another bottle and it was fine. Yes you should be able to clearcoat over the mat to get rid of the frosting... make sure the glosscoat is thinned so it really saturates the matt coat. I would try this on a scrappiece first though since you really don't want to destroy your paintjob.

If it will work to matt varnish again depend on what was the original issue and that I am not sure about. As said, I changed to another bottle and threw the other away.
