Hey all! During my first go at using some Woodland Scenics realistic water effects, I realized too late that the seal I had made on the sides to prevent leakage was not fake-water tight and it leaked on the carpet of my hobby room. Anyone know how to clean that stuff out of carpet once it's dried?

I imagine it works similar to varnish... So it will not be easy...
Maybe try scrubbing at it with hot soapy water and a hard bristled scrubbing brush.
If it's water resistant then you'll need some sort of solvent, which will probably bleach your carpet.
At least its the floor of your hobby room, that's allowed to get messy xD

Thanks for the suggestion, worst case scenario it leads to me expediting redoing the floor in there with laminate/wood/tile/anything that is not so weak against paint.

Cork - have done it in the last three hobby rooms now, very few options are as comfortable on my feet or as forgiving to dropped models (while still being easy to clean of glue, paint and various bits of flock...).

Bit of WD40 actually works well...though then you have to clean the WD40 out of the carpet, which can be done with regular carpet cleaners.

I should say though, it will depend on the carpet fibers to some extent. Synthetic fibers will clean much easier than natural fibers, cut pile much easier than loop.

Cut a square out of the carpet from under a cupboard/inside a wardrobe/under the couch - cut a matching square from the area with fake water - give it the ol' switcharoo
