What is the origin of the Massive Power Fist? This comically oversized fist, even when a space marine in power armor even in Terminator armor weilds one the fist is huge and cumbersome, so where is the rest of the set. The sheer size implies it belongs to a much larger powered armored system, that even Terminators have trouble wielding one implies it being attached to something far more powerful.
Or did I just miss the memo of its origins?

It's just big because it has a massive power field generator in it. It's like any weapon, you want more hitting power you generally compromise on speed. It was never part of a bigger suit.

pretty sure it's from Nintendo... well, or maybe it's just KOOLLL to have a gauntlet the size of arm and punch stuff with it; btw Commissars can get power fists too; judging from the shape and the relative size, those Power Fists are likely tailor-made for the mostly natural, non-power armored human.

Indeed. The 'glove' is a power field generator, much like the blade of a power sword or axe - plus shielding to keep it off the hand of the guy inside. It's not just an armoured gauntlet.

The gauntlets of Ultramar, a pair of Ultramarines powerfists, used to be the gauntlets of Roboute Guilliman (who in turn took it from Chaos as a trophy)
The more you know.
