Hi I just wanted to see what people thought of this army list.
Typhus 230pts
Sorcerer m3 with combi-melta and force stave 147
Terminators with power fist, chainfist, 2 combi meltas and the champion has a power fist, all have the MoN. 226
Plague Marines with 2 plasma guns and the champion has a power fist 223 pts
one chaos spawn with MoN 36pts
2 squads of 3 obliterators with MoN (2x228 =) 456pts
2 squads of 20 zombies 180pts
The idea is that the army can play 2 ways. One way is that the zombies can provide a flesh shield for for all the other guys many of whom will have feel no pain to stack with a cover save, and also find some protection from the high strength high AP weapons which will bypass all the high T values and armour saves the important guys have.
The other way is that I can create a death star unit with Typhus the terminators and the sorcerer and cause deep strike mayhem with this squad and the obliterators whilst leaving the spawn and some zombies to sit on some objectives.
What do people think? I am completely new to Chaos and want to make the most competitive but cool list possible.

Here is my changes i would make. I also play Death guard and ran a similar list.
Typhus (230)
Sorcerer Lvl 3 Bolt Pistol, Force Stave, Spel Familiar (140)
Terminators- 2 Chain Fist, 2 Combi Meltas (187) attach Typhus here
Plague Marines with 2 plasma guns and the champion has a power fist and melta Bombs (228)
20 zombies (90)
20 zombies (90) attach sorcerer here as the look out sir will help the power armour
2x spawn MoN (72)
2x (3) Oblis MoT (468)
So the Spell Familiar will help you a lot more on the sorcerer than the Combi will, if you want to run the Termies go with double chain vise the power fist as they still hit at I1 in combat, but if you wanted to can open something you have 2 that will get the extra roll. the other to should be left with just the combie so they get to hit at there normal I4. Add Melta Bombs to the Plague Champ so he can get somehting in if he wants to open up a Wave Serpant before finishing it with the power fist. Give one of the Zombie hordes your sorcerer. Depending on what you roll on for his spells you might be able to buff them up a bit more for a better Bullet spounge. I prefer MoT on my Oblits. If you are keeping them at >24" range from other units you dont have to worry about bolter damage therefor the MoN isnt going to make that much of a differance if they are catching the same las, plasma, or worse shots back at them. I prefer to give them a 4++ to help them live against the shots they are sure to eat being the only heavys you have.
I dont like Deepstriking Typhus. You lose his ability to cast for a round (or More) and then if you mishap them to death there went almost a third of your points between him and the termies. I would recomend pushing the feild with him attached to the termies and using the spawn to run sheild out infront of them. The sorcerer isnt going to be able to do much in CC so I wouldnt run it with the termies and typhus. that would make that unit now 557 of your 1500.

Oblits, Mutilators, and Warp talons I belive are the "non-machine" characters that have the rule.
