I have a LGS near me that can direct order items from GW. Does Forgeworld qualify? The only reason I ask is if doing this would save me on shipping, otherwise I would just order it from the website.

Nope. The closest you'll get is that sometimes a store (usually an independent store, a GW employee is probably too concerned with meeting their sales quota) will do a group order so that the total gets to the free shipping level.

Well that sucks. My store I don't believe is directly a GW, but I think they are related

Eh? It's either a Games Workshop store, or it's an Independent. GW don't mix too well with the independents.

I believe its an independent, but honestly, the way some of the employees treat their customers, I'd think they were GW's main store D:

Yep. Apparently, one of the guys I associate with is friends with another guy who two of the main employees really don't like, so by extension, I get harassed. There's cliques and gak like its highschool. It's bs, but its also the main place I go to play :/

If the receipt says "Games Workshop", it's GW

Besides, I've never seen an independent store that *only* sold Games Workshop. I can't even imagine a good reason to do that.

As if petty cliques and childish attitudes are exclusive to GW stores... lol, they're pretty common in this hobby.

If you wan't to know whether or not your local is a GW, I would suggest reading the sign at the door next time you happen to pass through it.

A Games Workshop corporate store will only be named "Games Workshop". If it is named something like "Gary's Games", then it's an independent store.

It might get called "Warhammer" instead on "Games Workshop", but that's only a couple of stores so far.

As for GW stores ordering FW items, they _can_, but it might be only certain stores that can. The manager might have earned the FW badge, or knows someone in HQ, or something.
