Fast Attack

2x Warbikers w/ Nob w/ PK 89

Heavy Support

Killa Kan w/ Big Shoota, Extra Armour and Kan Klaw

750pts

I'm still thinking whether or not I should purchase a box of Lootas for an added Heavy Support choice, but for a 750pt game played on a 4'x4' battlefield.. I assume that the mob will be able to get into assault pretty early.
The Warbikers will go around and try to flank long-ranged units (I'm expecting to go up against SM or BA armies, maybe even Necron)
The Warboss is warlord, placed in the Slugga Squad with a Painboy. That's 29 boys and a PK Nob with FNP.

All around, how will this fare?

The Cybork Body is pretty useless... Especially if there's already a Painboy. The runt is also useless, as DLS allows rerolls, and there's no reason for you to ever reroll a shooting attack anyway (too weak!). You also don't normally need multiple squads of Grots either as they are pretty weak. I'd recommend axing the. Killa Kan too, as it is sub par, and use points from extra Grots and the post killa kan to boost the size of your Shoota boyz squad.

For the guy who leaves it all on the field (because he doesn't pick up after the game).
Keep on rolling

Waaagh! Warbiker

Moray, Scotland

Honestly? Poorly. Killakans aren't good these days. Neither are Grots or Boys tbh. And Warbikes typically work well in larger units.

DEFINATELY get Lootas. They will provide anti-light tank or air (the former is what you'll likely see at this level).

To give us a better idea, what other models do you have? Any Trukks? An ADL by any chance?

Maybe something like this? If you have Tankbusters then they'll be as effective as Lootas (tho I feel really weird about saying this...)

HQ = Warboss + Eavy Armor + PK + Da Finkin Kap + BP = 105 (I think, I don't have the book with me)
HQ = Painboy = 50
Mini HQ = Mek = 15
Troops = 30 Boys inc a Nob + PK = 215

Troops = 10 Gretchen + Runtherd = 35
Heavy = 5 Lobbas + 1 Gunner (each) + 1 Ammo Runt (each) = 120
Heavy = 15 Lootas = 210
Total = 750pts

In small games, Ork artillery (mainly Lobbas, perhaps KMKs) completely dominate the field due to their low cost and high damage output. Lootas for the same reason. If you come up against any CC monsters, just hold everything back and shoot it.

If you're against campers like Tau, then da Finkin Kap is your best bet as you can hopefully get the outflank warlord trait, which is devistating with 30 ork boys.

Again, this does depend on what you have.

30 Orks by Foot.
17-20 in a Battlewagon.
12 in a Trukk.

I want offical rules for the Super-Ork that the Mad Dok is working on...

If you plan on running a boss with painboss, don't purchase cybork body - they don't stack. And ammo runt for a warboss is a questionable upgrade. Especially with DLS. I guess you've taken it to eat up points.

If you run a small squad of shootas, don't get a pk for nob. They're not mobile enough to hide out of los and take position when needed. They need to endure fire and cap an objective. You're better off with just extra bodies. BP nob for mob rule but pk in such small squads is often a waste.

Warbikers usually want to go larger but a min squad with a pk-bp nob can work when hidden out of cover. Though, i prefer stormboyz for this role.

Kanz are not great. If you want to run them, forego any upgrades other than weapons. Grotzookas ain't bad.

Don't be afraid to take squig hounds. It might seem a waste but holding position is very important with this squad. You can go bauble-wrapping your boyz or holding an objective - in both cases rerolling ld7 is useful.

Also, choppaboyz with pk bp nob are 220 pts.

About lootas. They're not mandatory. Personally, i dislike their game representation since 4-th ed and tend to avoid them. Luckilly, we've got plenty of stuff to take their place. Mek gunz, for example, are one of the best HS avaliable. Lobbas are amazing, KMK are great and other guns have their uses too. Besides, we've got cheap rokkits everywhere.
