So, an Apoc game coming up soon at 10,000 points. I decided to try CSM this time, as my friend has both a Chaos Titan and Lord of Skulls he is willing to loan me. So, what I thought I'd do is take as many warpsmiths as possible and hide them behind the titan and lord of skulls. As soon as the Superheavies start to lose hull points, warpsmiths come in to fix em up. Now, how many warpsmiths would each SH need? Also, what units would I run as backup to this?

Playing:
Main:
-Chaos Daemons
-Sometimes CSM allies for Daemons
Alts:
-Dark Angels
-Inquisition, nobody expects the imperial
-Officio Assassinorum
-Legion of the Damned

I think your warpsmiths will die horribly unless you protect them some how.

The ability to regain 0.66? Hull points per turn is not really worth the cost of a warpsmith + him only moving 6".

Your better buying the titan daemon of khorne for 50 points which gives 5++ and better stomps and then maxing out on good support units (e.g. Biker spawn lords) maybe some daemon allies and some oblits.

Dont the Titan and LoS both have IWND from beaing a deamon engine or something?

Either way i wouldnt crowd a list with warpsmiths just to try to keep them alive, maybe take one or two for the novelty.

Only reason i can see for running a ton of WS is to destroy cover but even then in apoc thats not very overwhelming

I would sign this contract but I already ate the potato
