Hey fellows russianIvan here with some interesting question. Today my littl buddy GHAZGHKULL MAG URUK THRAKA take his best warriors to the walk (council of waaagh formation). And his smartest one (after himself of course) bring the shiny big shooty shoota (shokk attack gun(fun)). Ye big shoota he said nice love it. After few thouthend of dakka dakka, Zoink! the smartes one (after himself) just disapeard and be right in place where he dakking before(5,5 result of SHAG when mek move in btb). So how its posible if the all rules of physics says that he cant leave that cool band of green dudes (formation council of dakkadakka)? Does he disapeard or just all band teleport with him or they summon the Gork (or possibly Mork) and it destroy the enemy forces and flip some table in some far far away galaxy?

Well the rule is:

Boss Mob: All models in this Formation must be deployed as a single unit. Models with the Independent Character special rule cannot choose to leave or join the unit.

Since the SAG (5,5) result doesn't give you a choice I would imagine he leaves the unit and cannot then join it again afterwards. I would imagine as he is still an IC he could join another unit potentially.

Really a question for YMDC.

It's probably an issue for YMDC but if you roll that result on the gun I'm almost certain he detaches from Council of the WAAAGH!, regardless of the formation rule, the SAG's rule has no specifics regarding the formation says you can't choose to leave.
