Alright, I got an idea of kitbashing about 4 warbuggies. You know, they perfectly fit into a list of fast mechanised orks. But here come some questions.
Let's compare them with Deffkoptas. Buggies are 5 pts cheaper, but they cannot charge, they have no jink or 4+. Can't say for sure are they more durable or not.
So, good guys, how do you run them? I'm thinking of outflanking 4-strong squad with TL Rokkits to harass some vehicles.

Mine are usually used at suicide technicals. Outflank in and hit a vehicle. If they aren't dead that turn I will go again.

Buggies are also less vulnerable to Blasts than Koptas, having a 4" coherency.

I'd probably not outflank them. Range and movement allows them to get positioned properly. Also, get at least one of them with tracks. Will help you out while getting points in terrain.

I wanted to try them out against Serpentspam. 4 buggies should statistically strip off 1-2 hits off a one and after that Lootas must finish the job.

hello! whilst I don't play orks, I built my brother's army for him and play against orks frequently. -4? I don't know about a larger unit, but my brother uses 2, with the twin-linked rokkit-launcha upgrade.(separate units) -With 4 I think they'd be too noticeable on the table. this is to say that the Warbuggys my bro uses are deffcoptas, minus the over head piece and runners,+ 4 wheels. given that gw no longer produces a model for warbuggys, most people are cool with them. they look a lot like quad-bikes, except with an anti-tank factor. They are subtle on the field, meaning that they aren't often fired at.- and again in appearance, it feels much like a SM attack bike. Hope this helps, Xenophobe. (p.s. They have also been known to be quite effective at tank hunting, as they are quick, manoeuvrable and, often, lethally effective.) Automatically Appended Next Post: Also, they have been known to be quite effective at tank hunting, as they are quick, manoeuvrable and, often, lethally effective.

Buggies are usually much easier to hide behind cover than koptas. But obviously can't fly over walls etc
Some people take a squad of each, so that each can be positioned to take best advantage of the individual table's terrain.

If you're taking small squads of 1-2 than koptas are somewhat more preferable as they're more durable, mobile and can eat overwatch. If you're taking 3+ and ain't planning on using koptas as an HQ delivery, Buggies are becoming more reliable due to no LD.
If not for ld, Koptas would win hands down cause they're not vehicles. More mobile, versatile, durable in most cases. But as is, buggies have a place when you ain't got many FA slots but need rokkits. And can't take any more tankbustas or ain't running a mechanised list, so bustas will be vulnerable in their transports or something.
