Subject: Link Teams - "Re-Forming"

I've been trying to understand the link team section. There's clear examples on how link teams are broken - i.e. less than 2, dissimilar actions etc. It's fairly clear how to form link teams as well - re: LT order to form a link, however, it isn't entirely clear to me WHEN you form a new link team. Based on my reading of the rules can I get confirmation that:
1. If a trooper leaves a link team through whatever means, he can only re-join if a new link is formed that re-includes this trooper?
2. If a link team suffers attrition, you can form a new link team back to 5 by adding more troopers of the same type as long as they meet the requirements to form a link?
3. If a link team is dissolved a new link team can be formed using another unit type that meets the requirements for forming a link?!?? (Not sure about this one - but doesn't contravene the one-link-at-a-time stipulation).

1. Yes, but you have to wait until your next turn before you can reform the link including the trooper.
2. Yes.
3. Yes.

1. Yes - as above poster - you can also only reform or create a link once per active turn. 2. Yes. 3. Yes. You can have multiple POTENTIAL link teams but only one ACTIVE at a time. Under 3rd, there will be some small changes to link teams - Bostria (Carlos Llauger) has said in an interview, the "Lt order" to link mechanic is shifting to the Command token mechanic.

How do you see Link Teams stacking up vs. Coordinated Orders (via Command Token) and Suppression Fire?

Link teams have greater reactive turn defense, in that it's on by default.
Suppression fire is good, but as soon as you do something different, you're out of Suppression.
Also, once formed, a link team has greater offensive benefits versus Coordinated orders. Link teams get bonuses to their BS, B, and other things.

I don't know - I'm waiting to see how they pan out in the adjustments. I haven't played a single game of 3rd ed yet (had the rules for about a month).
Unlike many other players - I've chosen to NOT play a half-arsed N2/ N3 hybrid and will wait for the game rules to catch up (I got sick of playing rules catchup in 40k - one of the reasons I stopped playing that game).
My usual clubs are out until next month due to tournament season (last weekend and next weekend). So hopefully, I'll know next week sometime when they drop the adjusted N3 wording for the HS/Paradiso rules.
