New Blood Angels player here, I have Shield of Baal: Deathstorm and a Blood Angels Tactical Squad. What would you say is the best (most versatile) way to equip them for the best results? I have built the Heavy Weapon as a Heavy Flamer already.

Any advice is appriciated.

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!

If you have the heavy flamer already, add a flamer and a combi-flamer or a hand flamer along with a power weapon on the sergeant. Put them in a drop pod and get another tactical squad kitted out the same way in another drop pod. I would advise you take Dante as your warlord, but Karlaen will do. Also, take the DC Dreadnought in the box and assemble it as a normal Furioso with a Frag Cannon and a melta blood fist and put it in a drop pod. That way, you can automatically bring on your tacs turn 1 and your furioso reserve will be re-rollable. If you take Dante, everything will scatter D6".

How i run my now is with a hvy flamer, melta + combi-melta on sarge. this gives them pretty good at and anti-horde potential.
Then combat squad them and for example: pop a transport with the meltas then flamer the guys that survives the explosion/ disembark

I usual have mine combat squaded in a droppod! ^^

Since you have Deathstorm you can run the DC dread as a troop choice (named unique Cessor) and a 10 man tac squad. Or you could run two 5 man tac squads.

You've committed to the HF, so if running 10 man I'd go HF, Flamer, and give the sgt Melta bombs. Pretty good anti infantry and you can threaten vehicles if you assault them. Stick them in a rhino or drop pod (I'd probably go rhino unless you plan on running a list with lots of drop pods.

If going with two 5 man squads.
Squad 1
HF, Melta bombs on the sgt
HF razor back

Squad 2
Plasma gun, combo plas sgt
Las plas razor back.
