A take on a Blood Pact (1850pts) list, curious if dakka thinks it has the magic sauce or not. What do you think will be good matchups, which do you think will be bad?

all looks Ok to me. Is that the legacy that boosts summoning? Pass on that, one lv3 isn't much of a summoner, even with rerolls, and you perils on any double.
The warpsmith seems an odd choice, if its to get two relics, remember that the sorceror can as well if he rolls maelific (yes I just said not to,how contradictory :-p)
I dont really play guard enough to comment on the rest, but certainly you haven't made any use of the interesting options that the renegades can come up with.

Yes the legacy is the one that allows you to reroll x number of maleific dice based on your number of hull points(which can be used to reroll the peril causing dice if needed). He also has the familiar that allows a reroll of the test itself.
I am using the renegades instead of IG since they are battle brothers to chaos and allows me to field the sorcerer and smith in the chimera at the start.
I don't have the models for some of the shenanigans I had hoped to exploit. Unit of deepstriking slaughteres for example armed with impalers near MC or armor (except super heavies etc...) would be a fun distraction as an example... Or perhaps the Horde game with recycling DS vet units with melta or heavy weapons... maybe after the next game. This list is to face a heavy armor competitive meta, comparable to what we saw at TSHFT.
And this list was just to get the ole tank treads moving.
Warpsmith allows for the fire raptor and the sci tank since to have both I need a keeper of relics model (only the warpsmith I thought).
What would you replace the smith with?

Level 3 Malefic Sorceror allows unlimited relics in that detachment, so the warpsmith is not necessary.

Another Sorceror to feed dice to the boss?

"Because the Wolves kill cleanly, and we do not. They also kill quickly, and we have never done that, either. They fight, they win, and they stalk back to their ships with their tails held high. If they were ever ordered to destroy another Legion, they would do it by hurling warrior against warrior, seeking to grind their enemies down with the admirable delusions of the 'noble savage'. If we were ever ordered to assault another Legion, we would virus bomb their recruitment worlds; slaughter their serfs and slaves; poison their gene-seed repositories and spend the next dozen decades watching them die slow, humiliating deaths. Night after night, raid after raid, we'd overwhelm stragglers from their fleets and bleach their skulls to hang from our armour, until none remained. But that isn't the quick execution the Emperor needs, is it? The Wolves go for the throat. We go for the eyes. Then the tongue. Then the hands. Then the feet. Then we skin the crippled remains, and offer it up as an example to any still bearing witness. The Wolves were warriors before they became soldiers. We were murderers first, last, and always!" —Jago Sevatarion
