Hey guys,

I started to prime a mini as usual today but the result... wasn't great! It seems it was a little humid and a slight wind didn't help either.

How am I best to strip Citadel spray primers? Definitely want to take it back to the plastic and prime again in better conditions.

Thanks guys

Aardvark.

I use simple green. Its a standard household cleaner available at Walmart or wherever. Just leave the minis soaking in it in a cup or jug overnight (longer the better) then wash or scrub off the remaining paint. For metal minis acetone works great but beware it melts all plastic!

Also, you might have a few issues with simple green and the base coat. For some reason the base coat never comes off as well on plastic minis. It might be something to do with the way the paint bonds to the mini in the first layer but I'm not sure.

If you just put on the primer, you can try using isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush -- especially if you dont' have simple green/detol/etc. at home It works well for me.

I'm actually from the UK so I've never seen simple green! I'm able to get my hands on detol though Should I be choosing any particular detol product? Thanks guys!

To play warhammer 40k you must have a few things. Models, rule books, paints, but probably more importantly (even if you are from another state, nation or planet!) Order about 20 entire cases of simple green. That will tide (if you get my pun) you over for the whole of your warhammerin career. Edit: And a toothbrush or the simple green doesn't work!
