Sometimes you just have no choice but to use a gak browser.

My misses has spent the week in hospital, she was asleep and my phone had died. The overpriced bed side TV we have here in UK hospitals had nothing but the great selection of day time TV that we have to endure over here.

But wait the device gives you free snail paced internet access included in the price

But its web browser is IE5

The Dakka home page kind of loaded.

But the forum list page not only crashed IE5 but actually crashed the whole device so that both times I tried to get access I had to power the whole device down.

I have no idea if its the device to blame, IE5, the forum itself or the ads but something wasn't getting on.

Then the misses woke up and I decided to talk to her instead.

Anyway long story short if you give a damn about Dakka working on a 15 year old browser then there is a chance it isn't and you might want to look into it.

Personally I would rate this below cutting my toenails in terms of import things to do, but you never know lego might be bored and just looking for things to do.

IE5 is fundamentally incompatible with much of the modern Internet - dakka would simply not function in it without months and months of work. Even google does not support IE5 for the majority of its products anymore.
