Glad to see someone playing this. I just sold off everything from my pledge as I realized I was not going to get to it anytime soon and am moving to a much smaller place so am trying to cut back on unused and not likely to be used stuff.

My LGS stocks it, and I've checked out the game a couple of times, but the major issues being:

1. It's a tad expensive with the 2 player starter, and I've not seen any interest in it on open gaming nights.

2. I'd want to play the humans, and AARs always seem to read like the humans are getting curb-stomped up until the end, where they either squeak out a win or get slaughtered.

My opinion is that the game is balanced. Long running games tend to favor the humans as a rule for "Industrial Might" kicks in and units start getting replaced.
Martians tend to win medium length games if the humans fail a few rout checks.
Martians tend to lose very short games as any hit on them can result with a damage check of a '10' which blows up the tripod, and everything with in 6" takes multiple hits.

I don't have a lot of AAR's up, but two others I have are 50/50.

I want to pick this up from my LGS.

It looks like cracking fun.

I think it is good fun. I have been waiting for a Martian/Human game to come out for years.

I'm always happy to see this game getting talked about on Dakka. There's a local store that stocks it, and I've managed to pick up the starter and a clamp tank, but my grad school keeps me so busy I can't build or play much.

That being said, I want to see this game grow in popularity so I can have hopes of playing it in 3 years.

Don't worry, in three years it won't be Grad School keeping you too busy. It will be your job instead.

My local has the Land Ironclad in stock. That thing is monsterous!
