I didnt want to necro the one Relic Knight topic, as it was last talked in Oct.
Over the past few months ive seen full KS armies on ebay sell for 150$ , and going down to 60-70!
People on Barter and here tring to sell off whole factions.
I got infinity, and wild west exodus as my minis games, but for that price for so much? Is it just "Ok" or "Average" for a minis game? I thought the no dice, just cards for battling would be it unique, kind of like malifaux on a way.
Let me know what you think!

It absolutely is, and the gameplay is fairly fun, IMO. Problem is that their pricing structure for MSRP is way, way off and some of the minis, being 1st Gen Restic, have some issues.
With all that being said, if you're willing to drop $200 or so for two factions total from eBay and don't "need" to expand, I think it's a worthwhile expenditure, because it is very different than both Infinity and WWX, and really, any other game out there.

Keep in mind my experience is limited as I've only done about 6 games. I have actually enjoyed the gameplay and have fun with it, although it took me a bit to get the jest of it. There are some concerns of the randomness because of the cards but coming from a deck building and TCG background, I actually enjoyed the cards. I was able to better calculate risk vs rewards based on what I knew was in the deck itself.
For me the issue comes to the miniatures. I love the artwork and feel of it but some of the miniatures didn't fully translate that way. Some of the miniatures are fiddly to assemble while others I didn't have any issues. Then there is cleaning the mold lines, which are visible on most of them.
I wonder if a lot of people just bought a lot of stuff cheap with the Kickstarter, selling what they don't want which resulting in a lot of miniatures or if the game is in a lull. Currently there aren't anyone that I know of playing it at the shop. I know I'm happy with some of the miniatures and others not so much, overall the ones I like proxy into other games I play too.
I believe the rulebook itself is downloadable from the website. You could download it and try it out with proxies before making any real decision.

The game's fun but (and it's a big one) it's very heavily objective focused and depending on the mission and what faction you're playing you may not need to kill anybody
so if you/your group needs lots of slaughter to have fun steer clear
You can get the rules online, but I really like the hardcover, it's really nice
Probably the weakest faction in terms of the minis is Cerci (sigh, my favourite). Also all the Hells Belles boxes shipped during KS fulfilment and initial retail were missing parts (torsos) so if you're buying second hand be aware of this

Good to know all this! Infinity is very objective based to so wouldn't be to hard to play that way. (Though not even needing to kill anyone is kinda crazy)
I did buy the purifiers box and make one of the figures a custom Joan of Arc for infinity. The models were "ok". The quality seemed to be that of Mantics. The art is really great, but minis don't quite hold up to it.
If I can get it cheap ill probably pick it up

I would never buy it at full retail cost, the pricing is crazy.
But if you can get a good deal, then absolutely! I backed for 5 out of 6 factions, so quite a bit of money, and I'm glad I did. It's a very unique gaming experience and the rules are top notch in all respects.

For those who've played the game, how is faction balance? Do the Prismatics or Voids mess anything up?
Since I had to wait forever to get my replacements, and they even forgot about me at one point, it killed all my interest in the game. Trying to get reinvigorated, but I dunno. I've got half assembled, and I'm just not feeling it anymore. No one talks much about it as far as I can see, so it seems like this game was DOA.

Well, given the retail pricing, I think backers are just doomed to play amongst ourselves.
I think I got 4 games in so far, which is really not bad given the number of kickstarted games delivered around the same time.

Sorry to dig this out of the grave
We have seen a resurgence in RK and I have managed to get about 8 games in, it helps that I have 2 factions but with the upcoming next wave of stuff for RK it looks like they are really taking pushing the game seriously, it just takes a lot of effort to muscle in on the market but really this is one of the best (if not the best) objective based minis games I have played. It's fast and satisfies my anime craving but has a depth to it revealed by more play time.
If you live in the UK come see if there are any local players for you https://www.facebook.com/groups/relicknightsuk most are willing to provide both factions too for intro games and such.
