So I got hold of one of these this week. The model itself is great, I will definitely be adding a LED light kit to it + a bit of dry brushing on the out side and It's gonna rock.

In game it sucks. I've only got a couple of games in but it gets swapped by multi ship builds, and dies to mass attack dice fast. Also Cards like projected status field win a game in one turn against it.

What can I try for a build, and is there anyway to protect it against such things.

I really want this thing to be viable, but I don't think it is outside of scenario play, where the odd's are stacked in it's favour ( the scenario it comes with is really one sided)

it's the quiet ones you have to look out for. Their the ones that change the world, the loud ones just take the credit for it.

That's the point, they costed the Cube so that it wouldn't be your first choice for OP play. Plus, it costs what, 80-82 points? There hasn't yet been a ship created that costs sub 10 points either, so if your venue enforces the "WK Suggested Tournament Format" then you're gonna have a bad time.

It really is just there for casual play. It's really fun to beef it up and have your friends try to take it down.

I have an op where we are just doing a for fun 100pt list, no ship restrictions but it is faction pure.

someone is bringing the super cube, and usually we get a queen vessal prime or scimitar dreadnought or two to the events.
