Hey guys. I've run LAN formation a few times but always used the bastion, which always felt un-Nidsy. Just wanted to post a list that uses LAN but without the bastion and tap into your minds on ways to improve. Thank you in advance

Looks good to me tbh

It does look mighty fine...but it seems to be lacking in screening units, extra so without a Bastion. You might lose the Adrenals and trim a little here and there to get more screening units. I like Hormagaunts, but Gargoyles are top of the line.

I think I would not use Crushing Claw as well, but that might be glued on...it is a minor issue, but inside a LAN, I think Venom is a tiny bit better, because you get "pinning" as a special rule anyway.

I thought with the 30 gants plus any tervigon spawn would make cheap and reliable screen all with counter attack. The crushing claws, I've just realised, were actually left on by mistake as I was running her before as an outflank with Hive Commander. I can easily take that off with the eGrubs too if I need to free up some points. As the fexes stand they shoot 12 assault BS4 twin linked s6 shots, charge with d3 S9 impact hits then 4 s10 attacks. With fleet =) I can save 45pt from the AG, though. With a saving of 25 from the tervigon upgrades that adds up to 75pt. Not a whole lot to play with. What do you think?

Not a bad plan, but if you don't go first you could well see a T1 Drop Pod full o'Melta(tm) and a second Pod of Sternguard plopping down and ruining you day. The screen is for T1 Alpha strikes. Even with a Bastion, a screen is a mighty fine thing to have,

I would keep the Electro Grubs, they are just too handy to do without. But 60 points can buy x10 Gargoyles to bubble wrap your starting positions (along with the Termagants etc...) or some extra Hormagaunts...

Oh I totally see. Ye I used to blob all the time and in fact my fave list I run uses endless swarm. Kk, thanks I'll take a look at changing. peace
